I agree. This criteria may have made sense when there was not recommendations for each major operating system already but at this point the majority of users can find a suitable recommendation.
It seems to me the criteria is just forcing PG to skip over strong platform specific recommendations, even for platforms it already recommends (ie it makes sense to have secureblue specific reccomendations, if you reccomend secureblue).
