# Thoughts on sign in with apple (for services that only support OIDC)

Hi all

So, I am currently looking at integrating tailscale into my privacy setup, mostly because I can connect to my home services, while using either pihole or nextdns and mullvad.

However, Tailscale doesn’t support username / passwords, and honestly I don’t want to setup an OIDC on a VPS or something.  
So, the most “private” option is apple, and given I use AM for my music needs, I feel it’s only suitable as the sign in for tailscale.

Just looking for general thoughts from the community, my apple ID does have personal info about me, because I pay for music, but I feel it’s acceptable for my threat model (better than Google and Microsoft!)

Yeah if you’re ok with Apple knowing you signed up for an account with that service then it’s totally fine.
