This is not exact. Bridges can work im China. The Snowflake extension barely helps compared to actual relays. It’s so slow probably only for APIs.
Tor works in China (very slow) but Orbot.doesn’t.

I don’t need a VPN for this particular website, but all major social media platforms, such as Signal, WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Discord, and others, are restricted. Essentially, only a few websites—like Google Services, GitHub, and certain parts of Cloudflare—are whitelisted, which is somewhat similar to the situation in China. However, the firewall is less engineered, resulting in high network congestion and some of the lowest internet quality in the world.
- The government provides special SIM cards to those who are close to them, allowing access to high-speed internet without restrictions. The same applies to tourists, which means they may not understand the true situation in Iran. This effectively makes us second-class citizens in our own country!
