Home goods manufacturer Kohler was caught misleading customers about the end-to-end encryption of the Dekoda, a smart toilet camera that analyzes pictures of your stool to determine your gut health, according to a [report](https://techcrunch.com/2025/12/03/end-to-end-encrypted-smart-toilet-camera-is-not-actually-end-to-end-encrypted/) from TechCrunch.

I hate finding out this exists from this post. They literally turned this into a product :joy:

Dont worry guys, where are they going to find RAM chips for these things? [Samsung wont even sell Samsung RAM to Samsung phones](https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/technology/ram-is-so-expensive-samsung-won-t-even-sell-it-to-samsung/ar-AA1RDVv8)…

The water company will probably be using some sort of Google Water Purity Check, so you will need to build a sandboxed toilet within your toilet, which will inevitably be hijacked by your cat.

Really needed to double check that this post wasn’t from April 1st.
Damn, what did I just read? :man_shrugging:t2:

People are really ready to buy anything nowadays huh.
Even with a subscription. :exploding_head:

Even more suprised/sad to see all those companies highlight the “product”

I mean, not like I carry most of them in my heart but still, sounds like a paid coverage.
Or at least, a lame story as a whole. Glad, not all media covered that.

> Kohler, the makers of a smart toilet camera, can access customers' data stored on its servers, and can use customers’ bowl pictures to train AI.

For context this camera is INSIDE the toilet to shoot photos of your poop.
The photos than were transmitted to the company to train an AI model.

What the actual FUCK ….
One of the **shittiest** jobs I can image working as a data analyst to evaluate the training data for poop.
