Is there anywhere you would recommend that are serious about Privacy and Security? r/privacy I found were just unpleasant to deal with and didn’t really feel any sort of community on the GOS forum.
Unfortunately I don’t know of any.
Perhaps someone can build one - maintaining it is the real effort and challenge. And that’s why we don’t see many making one.
Whonix Forum:
It is serious enough that I only post there when I have important developments and/or solutions for big problems. I do not waste any resources answering simple technical questions from others there. For reference, the last post I mentioned was about deploying Oniongroove with rsync to create an onion mirror for both the ISO images and Kicksecure + Whonix repositories:
Sorry if I am going a bit off topic here anyone had any experience with the c/privacy on Lemmy?
Well my fresh and immediate experience is that they use Cloudflare, so they are already captured and dependent towards a third-party.
Since Lemmy is federated, you can use different instances to access the same content.
In case you aren’t familiar with the fediverse yet, I recommend reading the join the fediverse homepage or watching this video.
You can access the community from the @The_Learner’s comment through lemmy.ml (which does not use Cloudflare).
The lemmy.ml instance also has its own (more popular) privacy community.
Right, instead of Cloudflare, Anubis is deployed instead, so the accessibility problem still applies, but now the third-party dependency is now effectively managed.
