I’m in a situation where I need to save some texts in case my lawyer needs them. Does signal notify the other person if I take a screenshot of their text on my phone? The conversation is set to have disappearing messages. Internet is giving me conflicting information on this

Are you sure? Pretty sure it would sync all of them if you have cloud backups.
I believe backups are disabled by default? But once enabled, it should back up all texts and the last 45 days of media for free. You’d have to upgrade to their paid tier for more media storage.
No it does not. But if you’re extra paranoid, take photos with a separate device.
