That’s great. But somehow I’ve lost my trust in the EU after all the constant news about Chat Control. Especially since this project is also funded by them. And since it’s not a “complete solution” but just shares keys, you still need strong authentication, encryption, and working key management. So I’m not celebrating, because I already know they will surely come up with some way to make sure they can access the data.
Edit: The phrase ‘just shares..’ might have seemed like a lack of appreciation. I didn’t mean it about the topic itself, but more about how any encryption with the EU involved sounds to a pessimist.
