# Privacy.com without Persona?

Does using Plaid instead of linking a debit card let you skip the Persona biometric check for new [Privacy.com](http://Privacy.com) accounts?

I’m curious about this as well, and it might be too late for my situation. I tried using a debit card and they insist of doing photoID via “Persona”, a business I’m not ready to trust at the moment. I had no choice but to terminate my application and delete my account. Would Plaid or Bank Account linking have avoided this situation (having to upload Govt. photo ID to a third party)? I wish PG or [Privacy.com](http://Privacy.com) would have been more upfront about this detail. Hope others can learn from my experience.
