This is a good article - and perhaps provides an additional (and perhaps more effective) way to get people to care more about surveillance and privacy: it has real, direct financial impacts. Of course, it’s had these impacts for years, in many ways… but we’re seeing more articles on surveillance pricing now, and inflation (or “greedflation”) and “affordability” are hot topics right now.

We need legislation to make dynamic pricing illegal. Even Reaganites and the likes of Jack Welch are rolling in their grave.
The Statue of Liberty was gifted by the French. Perhaps Americans should take up some more things the French have done in their history.
