It’s $2.59 (+ tax) _per month_ if you go with the 2-year plan. The early bird pricing ends August 30th. We’ve made significant improvements since launch and expect connectivity to be even more stable by then.

Great question! We covered this in detail here: [NymVPN (Nym) - #26 by nym-product](https://discuss.privacyguides.net/t/nymvpn-nym/25085/26) and our whitepaper dives deeper: [https://nym.com/nym-whitepaper.pdf](https://nym.com/nym-whitepaper.pdf)

Our approach: Limit bad actors through community management and a reputation system. Then minimize their impact through multi-hop routing by default plus letting users choose and rotate entry/exit gateways. We’ve got additional protections planned as well (detecting attacks, using secure hardware).

Nym’s goal is to be fully decentralized and community-run. Right now we’re operating 5 nodes (of 200+) for testing and continuous improvement: Austria, Bahrain, Italy, Switzerland, South Africa. They’re clearly labeled `nymtech` so you can easily avoid them if you prefer community-operated nodes only.
