Need advice; i wish to follow the ad money

I need advice; there’s an interesting case of my local sexual health clinic in Europe. They take all kinds of data eg. criminal profile, sexual health, sexual patterns, gender identity etc over a free Acuity (Squarespace) form to book an appointment.

Squarespace state they sell user data to a dizzying array of ‘partners’ as per their Privacy Policy.

It appears to be done server-to-server. I ran a few quick experiments to see whether i could fill in false data and catch personal ads coming out the other side on their partner’s websites eg. LinkedIn, Insta. Inconclusive results.

Eg. If i enter that i have unprotected sex on this form. Can i catch my health insurer hiking my premiums? Can i see a display ad for a local sexual health screening clinic when i visit healthline DOT com?

Is this possible as a reproducable experiment ie. following the scientific method?

Is there a way to make an appointment by visiting a local office?

Not sure about Europe, but in the US there are HIPPA laws that are compliance laws for protecting health data. Does your country have equivalent? If so, I’d suspect that Squarespace is collecting the usual telemetry and basic info for fraud and targeted advertising, but not anything specific.

Depends on your threat model, but if you’re worried consider walking to your local branch and making an appointment in person.
