# Mydyson app privacy policy

What’s the community thoughts on [this privacy policy](https://privacy.dyson.com/en/privacy-policy.aspx)?

The feature I want to use is to start a dyson product from afar via internet.

Like with any popular product, yeah I wouldnt say this is private.  
For home gadgets HomeAssistant is pretty much recommended privacy wise. (GadgetBridge but I didnt say that because of the limited support)

Thanks! Do you know if dyson products work with HomeAssistant? And can you access homeassistant via tailscale for instance?

Would suggest looking it up on Home Assistant, they have the latest info: [Integrations - Home Assistant](https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/)

It doesn’t seem listed unfortunately.

So my options are either forget the feature or use the app with consequences. I’ll write to dyson directly to see the extent of their collections.

Just to conclude on this topic, the support of mydyson is pretty poor and the people answering are either bots or terrible copy/pasters.

So I’ll probably just forget the feature altogether.
