Looking for Proxy Provider Recommendations: Better IP Quality Than Webshare (Non-Asia Preferred)

Hi everyone,

I’m currently using Webshare but experiencing significant issues with IP geolocation accuracy. I need to find a reliable alternative that offers static ISP proxies.

**Current situation:**

  • Provider: Webshare
  • Main issue: IPs don’t match their claimed locations, forcing me to constantly cycle through IPs to find working ones
  • This “IP lottery” approach is time-consuming and unreliable

**Requirements:**

  • **Static ISP proxies only** (not residential or datacenter rotating pools)
  • Accurate geolocation matching (IP location should match the advertised location)
  • Providers based in North America, Europe, or other regions outside Asia
  • Stable, long-term IP assignments
  • Good customer support for IP replacement if needed

**Use case:**
Need consistent, location-verified IPs for accessing region-specific services

I’ve researched providers like NetNut (which offers premium static IPs), Oxylabs, and Smartproxy/Decodo, but I’d really value hearing from anyone with hands-on experience, especially regarding IP location accuracy.

Have you found any providers with reliable static ISP proxies where the geolocation data is actually accurate? Any experiences (good or bad) would be helpful.

Do VPNs not work for you?

My country prohibits VPN usage.

Following every law to the letter may not be a good way to live. But that’s just me. I would still use it unless you’re in a very high risk country.

It may not be about risk (with law enforcement) but practicality. Many countries might not openly persecute users, but connectivity may be locked down to an extent where VPNs simply aren’t feasible to use on a daily basis. In such cases the obfuscation offered by certain proxy protocols would be far more pragmatic.

@vesta Unfortunately I’m not very knowledgeable with regards to stealth proxies. Only just started learning[1] about them. Proxy usage tends to be very insular, typically localised to whatever region they need to be used for. Maybe you would get more mileage from forums/communities in your country/region? The only solution I currently know of is Xeovo[2] but I’m not sure if they meet your exact requirements. You can check out their status page for server locations and service availability[3] in various countries with internet restrictions.

  1. Your reply in my Shadowrocket thread was very helpful, btw. Much thanks! ↩︎

  2. Based in Finland. Proxy Protocols: Shadowsocks, VMess, VLESS, Trojan ↩︎

In my region, VPN performance is inferior to proxy protocols. As Xeovo mentioned, I use protocols for internet access, and to achieve better website access, I need to use transit IPs instead of data center IPs.

I’ve been complying by not using VPNs, so I’m using protocols instead.

In practice, they tacitly allow the public to use them, as long as it doesn’t involve politics or other illegal factors.

Try IVPN for a week at $4. It has solid obfuscation tools, and if a port gets blocked you can switch it in under a minute.

I’ve used IVPN/Mullvad, but after experiencing Vless, I purchased a VPS to self-host the protocol. It’s better suited for my region (especially the tunneling/routing rules). Thank you very much for your suggestion.

I purchased dedicated IPs from Webshare. How can I verify that the IP is not shared with other users?
