I recommend against Ledger, because this company suffered a terrible data breach in 2021, 270K physical addressed were exposed ( link ). Additionally, the company has experienced multiple hacks, including: Supply chain attack in 2023 NPM attacks

None of these hacks are hacks of their products. Their products would defend against these attacks by design actually. The data breach is pretty bad though.

What Ledger is doing to me looks like more than just bad marketing. I believe that what @unseen has posted shows a pattern of behaviour that’s difficult to justify.

Yes, I buy mine in person from Best Buy. Not sure if I would trust another third-party retailer, especially Amazon where it is surprisingly challenging to ensure items come from an official seller.

I would not feel comfortable buying any ledger product from them directly considering the past data breaches which allowed such awful kidnapping and murders. Selling a sensitive device like that they should have taken security way more seriously.

Do they sell them on Amazon or other platforms?

If they were recommended I would want a note about that.
