Is Element/Matrix the only solution to install and use on multiple desktop and mobile devices at the same time?

XMPP is an option, maybe Wire if they still allow private accounts

SimpleX and Session can also be run on multiple devices.

Session looks promising, so I will check it out for sure, but SimpleX I did test, and I don’t think it supports using multiple devices at the same time the way Element/Matrix does (see Multi-device synchronization · Issue #444 · simplex-chat/simplex-chat · GitHub and https://www.reddit.com/r/SimpleXChat/comments/1fu1tyq/simultaneous_devices), unless something has changed recently, but it doesn’t seem so…
