I’m neutral on the new look. Mostly it’ll take a week to fully get used to it.
My experience is thus far good overall but the lack of polish on some of the tiny details is at times jarring.
Search and Spotlight feel broken by the update. I type in full setting descriptions and app names that used to work and either get nothing or obscure system files. My guess is they they told someone to make it “more” intelligent and it’s become significantly better at jumping to incomprehensible conclusions completely unrelated to the query.
A few system elements are inconsistent in dark mode and display in light interfaces. Mostly in the control panel.
What I will complement it on is that it feels more accesible. Many new interface elements feel larger and easier to reach.
