You can use tool suggestions instead but please disclose any affiliates --- ## Post 5 by @xecrets — 2023-09-26T08:53:32Z Seems to be a bit of confusion… Reading [About the Project Showcase category](https://discuss.privacyguides.net/t/about-the-project-showcase-category/114) it seems to be the other way around, at least according to that post. It says explicitly “_This is a place for devs to post their new/unreviewed projects_”. And “_This category is the only section in which you as a developer are allowed to promote your own projects_”. The way I read it is that if I’m a developer of a software that’s not ( yet :wink: ) **recommended** by Privacy Guides, “Project Showcase” is the only appropriate place, and that requires membership in the _developers_ group… So, it makes no sense to require membership in _developers_ if that group is only for _recommended_ developers, if the group is the only place to showcase software that’s not recommended! I left my request for the developer group a month ago, and since then, new members have been added six times. I understand if there’s a backlog and limited amount of time to review requests, but I’d appreciate some transparency about how busy it is and e.g. a DM if my request has been denied. --- ## Post 8 by @ph00lt0 — 2026-05-08T10:06:33Z We have changed the way we handle this a bit lately. So please create a #General > Project Showcase post. It will automatically get flagged for review for us and we will then access if the tool is worth to be posted. It can take some time as we receive a lot of low quality submissions or heavily vibecoded solutions. We only let through what we deem not to be adversarial but really a seek for community input and it should be interesting enough for the community. Like for example a project of which many already exist and don’t bring new things to the table like a password generator are usually rejected. Should we seem fit for the submission we will also verify the developer by their email or otherwise before publishing. Hope this helps.
