I’m pretty sure Signal uses Electron which is a lot worse than using a proper WebView to render content.

It’s janky on android and iOS too

I have Fedora Atomic so prefer to use flatpaks as much as possible, so it’s unfortunately a deal breaker for me. I’m keeping an eye on them and hope to eventually move when they improve it, especially when they’re on track for cloud storage.
