# How important would Firefox Fission be on mobile?

Title pretty much.

Fission is Mozilla’s implementation of site isolation, and from what I can tell it’s is not fully developed and is an opt-in feature with some bugs.

I use GrapheneOS and Vanadium is obviously the more secure choice in my case, just wondering in-general.

Activate it and check the Selinux context it runs as. Last I checked it has still been running as “untrusted\_app”, while for a _sandboxed_ multi-process structure, there should be “isolatedProcess” at least for every renderer process.

Firefox is not safe, I don’t even know why did PG recommended it.

No direct, but a indirect, recomendation.  
If your about security (especially on GrapheneOS) don’t bother with Firefox on Android.

This is just one example since I’m sure you read the GrapheneOS documentation on browsers?!  
If its just for depening knowlege enjoy the trip and research.  
I’ve did the same, even used Mull as a secondary browser. But all research leads (back) to chromium is more secure, regardless of how much Firefox has improved.

In times of Mull to have a decent alternative for people refusing to use a chromium based browser.  
Pretty much obsolete now as long there is no replacment for it now

Privacy Guides didn’t recommend Firefox, they recommended Mull.

The reason for recommending it is simple: If one is ignorant enough to use Gecko-based browsers on Android, then we can’t really do anything about it, so at least use Mull for some badness reduction.
