I’ve been working on moving all my accounts over using aliases that send to my proton mail address. The rabbit hole is very deep and it’s understandable the temptation to give up. DON’T! Start with the low hanging invasive fruit and work your way up the privacy tree one step at a time. “They” are coming up with ever increasing ways to invade our privacy, even through HDMI cables and ultrasonic beacons which from what I understand started around 2016. But… I have an android based TV I got for my partner a few years ago in ignorance whom is now addicted to the shows it provides over the internet. It’s a flippin smart TV! :tired_face: Android google to be exact with a mic on the remote. Guess what’s getting replaced when I get the money… My partner has a normie phone and due to certain disabilities my partner needs this sort of stuff, with the smartwatch my partner has. Probably got ultrasonic beacons flying all over the place! :sweat_smile: I am researching a way to just run some old Linux computer and get the same television programming but with more privacy. It’s either that, or take the thing apart and rip out the microphones and put a frequency crossover on the speakers to avoid ultrasonic beacons. Na… I will find a dumb TV. If I was on my own, I wouldn’t own a television.
