The FTC will ban Kochava and subsidiary Collective Data Solutions (CDS) from selling the location data of American consumers without explicit consent as part of a settlement stemming from a lawsuit from August 2022.

Yeah, anyone who “donated" to the “ballroom" can keep selling data. I’m honestly surprised that someone on staff posted this misleading article.

Did I read it right, it is _very narrowly defined_ : “precise locations” … only for “sensitive locations like mental health clinics…” ?
