FireFox+ArkenFox instead of MullvadBrowser?

Again,

From the wiki page @any1 linked,

The best any browser can confidently do, excluding[1] Tor Browser and Mullvad Browser, is fool naive scripts.

  1. Emphasis mine. ↩︎

Yes, and exactly that is my question: @any1 linked to that quote you gave, but it says explicitly excluding Tor Browser and MullvadBrowser! And why is there a crowd for MullvadBrowser, but not for ArkenFox? Because it is explicitly wanted by ArkenFox that you tweak the Settings to your needs and preferences? Well then, would there be a crowd if ArkenFox would say it would be bad to change preferences and if they used RFP instead of FPP?

The way you have to use Mullvad Browser to have good fingerprinting protections is by not changing ANY settings in the browser. That way the crowd is much bigger to blend in.

You’re not supposed to log in with PII either.

I guess theoretically, if everyone installed Firefox + Arkenfox and didn’t change any settings (that means no extensions either) than it would be kind of similar to Mullvad does, as far as I’m aware.

People just don’t use it that way because it’s not meant to be a blending tool. With Arkenfox, you are expected to change your user.js (or about config) settings. Meaning there are no one to blend with.

See Mullvad + VPN as a concert with a huge crowd.

See Arkenfox as thousands of little boots with 2-3 people in each of them. Not easy to blend in that one boot you’re in.
