Encrypting a Reply via addy.io – Help Needed with K‑9 Mail & OpenKeychain Integration

Hello,

I want to send a reply from K‑9 Mail using my email alias at addy.io, so that the message is first encrypted with addys public PGP key when it goes to the addy server, and then arrives unencrypted at the final recipient. I have imported addys public key into OpenKeychain and verified the fingerprint.

However, when I try to compose an email in K‑9 Mail, I cannot encrypt it with the addy key. A red lock icon appears. When I tap the lock, a popup says:

“Encryption not possible. Some of the selected recipients do not support this function.”

The key is present in OpenKeychain, but it cannot be used in K‑9 Mail. Does anyone have a solution for getting the message encrypted?
