LineageOS should receive [updates faster](https://eylenburg.github.io/android_comparison.htm) than /e/OS which probably makes it slightly better. IodéOS could be worth considering if they support re-locking the bootloader for your phone but they seem to fall betweeen LineageOS and /e/OS in terms of update speed.

Strictly in terms of security features, yes. In terms of privacy it’s much more nuanced.
