Would really appreciate some help if anyone has experience with [diffusionbee](https://diffusionbee.com/). It’s not on the privacyguides recommendations for local AIs, but I don’t know whether that’s just because it’s not multiplatform, or whether it’s also not considered safe. Do we know if its [claims](https://diffusionbee.com/) to keep [everything on device](https://aitoolbook.ai/ai/diffusion-bee) and not transmit any data unless requested by the user are verified? Thanks for any help.

Had a quick look and it looks legit to me. You could also always block connections with LittleSnitch.

However: the project seems abondoned (last release from 2024 [GitHub - divamgupta/diffusionbee-stable-diffusion-ui: Diffusion Bee is the easiest way to run Stable Diffusion locally on your M1 Mac. Comes with a one-click installer. No dependencies or technical knowledge needed.](https://github.com/divamgupta/diffusionbee-stable-diffusion-ui) ) + StableDiffusion as the underlying AI model is also abandoned ( [GitHub - CompVis/stable-diffusion: A latent text-to-image diffusion model](https://github.com/CompVis/stable-diffusion) last changes are 4 to 5 years old)

The overall website looks quite low quality SaSS slope with a wrapper around FOSS tools.  
I’d recommend installing Stable Diffusion on your own machine from HuggingFace or alike and use a UI on top of it to do the things you’re looking for, no need to use a product to achieve that exact same goal.
