Can you use virtual credit cards in real life

you go to a real store but you dont want to give your real card what do you do

You can’t use a virtual card in real life, because it’s virtual  But you can always use the old fashioned way: cash.

Apple Pay works similar like a virtual credit card

"We’re going cashless! "

but still good advice if you dont make big purchases and have the ableity to change where you shop

You could use something like Google Pay, Apple Pay maybe Walt in the near future or just cash as other people have said

Might become real in Europe with Walt.

hope it comes to usa if it works well

I recently used a virtual card in public. Though not at a cash register. It was for a service and they had me input my payment info onto a payment portal.

It was essentially an online payment that I made in public. Does that count?

I had a feeling they might force this so I wrote down the virtual card info at home before I went there. I also created an email alias that I could give them before I went there as well.

Yes, on some providers you can use your smartphone to pay and use a virtual credit card.

I have more hope for Wero, no dependence on Visa/MasterCard.

With Wero the recipient can always see the account IBAN, unless there is a way to get alias IBANs that wouldn’t help OP
