# Anyone know if this new google search change would effect startpage, scroogle, searchxng etc?

Basically google are now encoding its search results in a format only they can decode. Looks like they’re trying to kill 3rd party scrapers?

Startpage told they [pay google for query results](https://share.transistor.fm/s/0af865a3#t=36m20s), they don’t scrap search pages results. Brave’s Google fallback mixer probably can be affected, but idk.
