# Any e2ee cloud storage with folder sync?

not asking about camera uploads that filen/proton drive/mega/… have , I’m asking about folder one way sync if i want to sync aegis 2fa database/signal backups/…

it’s doable with round sync (android rclone app) but would prefer first party support

mega recently added 2 way sync on android but i’m more interested in backup/one way sync from android to cloud

I don’t think there is any, besides Mega which you mentioned.

But for Aegis and Signal specifically, these backups are already encrypted so you can back them up to any cloud and it won’t make a difference.

you’re right but i prefer to avoid services that don’t respect privacy , even if they can’t read the data , they still track metadata , have telemetry in their closed sourced apps etc … , but in any case do you know any app that supports sync/backup that’s not e2ee foss ?

i’m also interested in backing up contacts/call log/sms without adding hassle of extra encryption or using new app other than the one requested above

Syncthing could work really well for you. Look into it if you don’t know about it.

Syncthing works very well for my use case BUT i prefer to host my files directly in trusted e2ee cloud storage as they have redundancy and 24/7 uptime and i don’t

did they add sync function recently ? afaik they don’t have it
