This is also a big plus too, to create aliases right from these apps so you don’t always need to be going to your web app to make them.

I think 60 (or whatever they’re asking for their custom domain plans) is contrary to what many people claim is a very good deal for what you get. Proton Mail Plus+SL Premium is way more expensive. They also have a lite plan (no custom domain) behind the registration that costs the same as SL Premium. Crazy good deal.
The entire point of Proton’s price points for each tool is to get you to buy Unlimited as that’s really the best deal if you are going to be using 2 or more services anyway.
I still hate it. I think their pricing and general marketing is pretty predatory

Still far superior to any other non privacy tech product/service given how horrendous others are with dark patterns and other types of manipulative practices. One really needs to be careful with others but you are much safer in the more straight forward pricing polivies of privacy products.
